Teacher of Fine Art (60% contract)


September 2018

We require an outstanding, dynamic Teacher of Fine Art to work with pupils within KS3 to KS5, who has a proven ability to communicate their enthusiasm and passion for Art, from September 2018. Some experience of teaching graphics may also be an advantage.

You will be deeply committed to the success of every pupil and will have an excellent understanding of current educational thinking, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach towards future developments in the subject.

The post represents a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or a well-qualified ambitious entrant into the profession, who can share their expertise and love of the subject, and teach lessons which inspire and enthuse our pupils. Equally important are personality, aptitude, and initiative, the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.

The post-holder must be committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people.

All members of the teaching staff are expected to assume a pastoral role within the School and to contribute to the School’s extra-curricular and activities programmes which may include assisting in Sports or Duke of Edinburgh for example.

Salary is according to Wisbech Grammar School’s own scale.

  • Teach and inspire our pupils with your subject and demonstrate passion and enthusiasm as you teach; 
  • Be part of the School’s co-curricular activities programme adding a broad base to pupils interest and learning;
  • Be a form tutor supporting and guiding pupils;
  • Join in with our Sports curriculum and share a particular sporting expertise you may have.

If you are a member of the Support Staff you will be expected to;

  • Support pupils' learning to create a positive learning environment;
  • Provide services to staff, pupils and parents that enable education and learning to take place;
  • Work with other Teaching and Support staff colleagues across the school.
