Religious Studies

The course offers pupils a thorough understanding of diverse philosophical and ethical viewpoints.

Pupils gain critical and evaluative skills sought by higher education and employers – particularly in law, education, social work, politics, medicine, administration and the media.

Religious Studies is a thought provoking subject and the contemporary themes will inspire engaging classroom discussion.  Religious Studies also complements the study of other subjects, particularly English Literature, and Humanities subjects such as History.

The qualification is weighted towards the study of Philosophy and Ethics, which is one of the most highly sought after subjects by institutions of further education as well as employers from all sectors.

It is not necessary to have studied Religious Studies at GCSE level in order to take this qualification.
