The Sixth Form at Wisbech Grammar School offers pupils a wealth of opportunities, both academically and in a range of co-curricular activities.
Pupils can choose from 23 subjects and have the option to study three or four A levels . In addition to the six 50 minute periods of taught study per subject, pupils are expected to spend a further 4 hours per week on each subject. Extended study takes place at home or in the Hazel Centre, our exclusive study and social space for Sixth Form pupils. There are also opportunities to take part in discussion groups, attend lectures and engage in field trips and educational visits.
All pupils are encouraged to take the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which develops and nurtures a pupil’s ownership and research skills in an area entirely of their own choosing. Pupils are supported in this by taught Study Skills lessons and by their staff mentors.
Wisbech Grammar School provide pupils with every opportunity to be successful and to become independent, well-rounded and well-qualified members of society. We enjoy working and supporting them on this important stage of their educational journey.
