Today, Prep 4 were transported back to Athens as part of a Greek themed day. Pupils took part in a carousel of activities including a drama festival in honour of the Greek God Dionysus.
The playlets were judged by 6th form pupils with Theseus slaying the Minotaur taking the honours over the Siege of Troy.
Having been divided into four city states the children then competed in an “Alternative Olympics” with Sparta coming out on top.
The day ended with a banquet where pupils had the opportunity to taste olives, hummus, feta and other Greek delights.
Mrs Beck was delighted with the way that the children entered into the spirit of the day and they learned lots too!
