3rd  Form pupil Rhianna Regan wins 90 CC Go-Kart British Championship 2017 title on grass.

With support from her family, Rhianna used to watch go-karting with her dad, and he encouraged her to take up the sport, by making her first Go-Kart. Not a typical

sport for a young girl, Rhianna is no ordinary 3rd Form pupil. A quietly unassuming 13-year-old, she has followed her passion for the last two years.  Behind the wheel of her no.14 red and blue go-kart, she had the steely determination and commitment to compete and therefore decided the time was right to take on the challenge of 90cc on grass.

The championships were held on the 2 July with over 65 competitors racing throughout the day, and Rhianna stepped up to the mark and took the title. She intends to move forward by moving away from grass next season onto the road, competing as part of a team.

WGS is inspired by Rhianna and her achievements and is very proud! The School encourages all their pupils to “discover who they are” through a wide range of extra-curricular activities and support all pupils with their hobbies, passions and ambitions.
